Pete Chilcutt brings a unique combination of championship experience, educational expertise, and adaptability to My Team Ruby Henderson. Raised in a household of educators, Pete developed a strong foundation in hard work, dedication, and helping others succeed—values that shaped his journey to achieving his dream of making it to the NBA.
A proud alum of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Pete played basketball for the Tar Heels before being selected in the first round of the 1991 NBA Draft. His nine-year professional basketball career included stints with seven teams, most notably the Houston Rockets, where he won an NBA Championship in the 1994-1995 season.
After retiring from basketball, Pete transitioned into education, teaching for 16 years. His ability to break down complex concepts, solve problems, and connect with a wide range of people became a hallmark of his work. Whether pivoting on the court or helping students navigate the challenges of education, Pete’s adaptability and teamwork have always stood out. Over the years, he successfully worked with countless children and families, helping them thrive and achieve their educational goals.
Now, Pete is excited to bring his Carolina roots, passion for service, and diverse experiences to My Team Ruby Henderson, a dynamic group known for its exceptional service and winning track record in the Triangle’s real estate market.
